Our paper titled “Molecular simulation of adsorption and separation of N2 and CF4 on carbon and boron nitride nanostructures” has been published online in the journal “Separation and Purification Technology”, accessible at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.seppur.2024.127943.
In this study, we performed GCMC simulations to compare CF4 adsorption on various nanostructures: (15,15) BN nanotubes outperform carbon nanotubes with 50% higher adsorption. BN nanoscrolls with 1.3nm spacing exhibit 33% higher adsorption than carbon nanoscrolls. IAST predicts (14,14) BN nanotubes to surpass carbon nanotubes in CF4/N2 selectivity. BN nanoscrolls with 1.2nm spacing show superior adsorption and selectivity, indicating promise for CF4 capture.
“Separation and Purification Technology” (SPT) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on the dissemination of research related to separation and purification processes in various fields of science and technology.
It is an engineering and technology journal published by ELSEVIER. It falls under the category of Engineering: Chemical Engineering and covers research outcomes and practices in the field of engineering and technology, specifically chemical engineering. The journal, established in 1997, is indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI), indicating its recognition as a top-tier international journal.
It is published monthly and holds a non-open access status. As of 2021-2022, the journal is classified as Q1 in the latest edition of the Web of Science (WOS) journal ranking. The 2022 impact factor is 8.6, with a CiteScore of 12.70 and an SJR (Scientific Journal Ranking) index of 1.339. The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) SCI Journal Ranking (Engineering and Technology, Zone 1).
Congratulations to Dr. Peng for achieving this research milestone.
